I love being a Breeder of Golden Retrievers and I get to train gun dogs also. I am passionate about Golden Retrievers. I grew up in the Grand Junction, Colorado, moved to the Denver/Ft. Collins area from High School. I now perform in shows, hunt test, agility, dog training programs and breed Golden Retrievers, from all over the U.S. Currently we are in the process of building a training facility in Grove, Oklahoma. We have ponds and plenty of acreage that the dogs love to play on or in.
Shaffer Goldens all started when my husband wanted a hunting dog. We have always had working ranch dogs, "Border Collies". Well as you can guess, we were blessed with a Golden "Goose". Thanks to our very good friend Jamie Beckett at BR Goldens, she provided us with Goose. I fell in love with the Golden Retriever Breed. I enjoy showing and training several breeds, however the Golden Retriever hooked my soul and taught me the Golden Rules, like how to share the bed, eat hair with pleasure and everything is retrievable.
Thanks to my husband Rick, I have found the Golden Retriever and have become a trainer of the best hunting dogs around. We are excited about adventures to come, showing and breeding Golden Retrievers.
